About the role
As the Sales Director for the Central Region we are looking for an experienced sales leader to own the customer sales pipeline for this key market. Working with a base of both established customers as well as a large greenfield opportunity we require someone with a passion for generating new deals and a track record in achieving sales targets.
Working under our VP of Sales and Government Relations, you will own the customer sales journey for your territory from initial product demonstration through to deal close; and partner closely with our Customer Success team on contract renewal and upsell opportunities.
Your customers will be based in both local and state jurisdictions with teams working in oversight of short and long term rental planning, compliance and taxation. Working in this segment, we are looking for someone who demonstrates a consultative sales approach and is able to help our customers understand the true value of our products, the problems they solve and the benefits they will bring to their local government teams and communities.
To be successful in the role you will need:
- 10+ years of Sales experience, ideally within a SaaS business, is required.
- Proven experience in both retaining and growing customer relationships. Experience with working with Governments or regulated enterprise is an advantage.
- Flexibility and availability to travel approximately 20% of time for interstate customer meetings, trade shows and council meetings as required.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and educate customers effectively; includes experience in doing live technical and product demos in person and on Zoom / Teams.
- Available for interstate travel to do in person demos and attend government conferences and council meetings as required.
- Act as the communication bridge between clients, Client Relationship Managers, and the Tech Team.
- Strong understanding of sales metrics and KPI management.
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills and proficiency in CRMs (Hubspot, Salesforce)
- An understanding of short term rental property is a bonus, but not a must-have.
