The Role:

The Finance team is hiring a Director of Financial Operations, responsible for driving the design, enhancement, execution, and leadership of Fetch’s financial operations. This role will report to the CFO, will collaborate with other leaders in Sales and Engineering, and engage with our customers as needed to manage the company’s working capital and ensure excellent customer service.

Location:

Ideally, this person will be based near our workspaces in Chicago, Madison (WI), Boston, or Birmingham (AL) but we are a remote flexible workplace.

Scope of Responsibilities:

As the Director of Financial Operations, you will:

  • Build, lead and develop a team responsible for billing, collections, and credit management, recruiting top talent as needed
  • Establish tools, systems, and automation to ensure our operations can support rapid revenue growth and scale
  • Develop rigorous tracking and KPIs to monitor the performance of our processes and progress towards goals
  • Drive continuous improvement across our financial operations by assessing, designing, and building new tools and processes
  • Identify future opportunities and risk, and be a key thought leader to develop the operational and systems roadmap for Finance
  • Partner with the Engineering and Commercial organizations to advocate for financial needs and ensure continuity across all functions
  • Be the subject matter expert for our commercial organization, and engage with customers as needed to ensure high levels of support and trust

The ideal candidate:

  • Demonstrates strong bias to action, with a desire to drive impact
  • Comfortable in ambiguity and able to make sense of white-space problem areas
  • Operates with a strong sense of ownership and accountability, and instills those same behaviors in their team
  • Builds trust, and partners effectively across the organization through mutual respect and open communication

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Business-oriented undergraduate degree, with an MBA and / or CPA preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive growth in financial roles. Preference for experience in both scaled F1000 environments and with high-growth companies
  • 3+ years leading various finance operations functions
  • Experience leading, motivating, and mentoring/growing teams
  • Deep understanding of finance operations, especially in the order-to-cash process
  • Previous experience successfully collaborating cross-functionally to lead system and process improvement across the organization
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to manage and operationalize large-scale projects across multiple teams and stakeholders
  • Experience building and managing relationships with cross-functional partners and stakeholders

Compensation:

  • At Fetch, we offer competitive compensation packages to the exceptional folks we hire. The OTE range for this position is $180,000-$250,000. We also offer all employees equity in Fetch, so that everyone can benefit from Fetch's growth.
