Role and Responsibilities

Role Summary

The Lead Operations Engineer is responsible for maintaining and optimizing the operational aspects of the SingleComm cloud platform, including system performance, security, and uptime. The selected candidate must be a self-starter and possess strong technical troubleshooting capabilities and be available to triage production downtime issues 24x7x365. The Lead Operations Engineer will be a key member of the Operations team and must be able to balance time between support ticket resolution, client onboarding and projects that increase the stability, resiliency and scalability of the platform.

Responsibilities

Monitor and maintain the health of the CCaaS infrastructure.

Implement and manage system updates, patches, and configurations.

Troubleshoot and resolve system issues to ensure minimal downtime.

Coordinate with technical teams to enhance system efficiency and security.

Document operational procedures and system logs.

Research, implement & maintain new Infrastructure Monitoring system.

Strong knowledge of cloud native architecture patterns, using containers for deployment and Kubernetes for orchestration.

Strong knowledge of VoIP / SIP protocols and telecommunications interoperability

Expert level knowledge of cloud infrastructure components, such as AWS compute, storage, networking, DNS, Mail and Message Routing Protocols.

Ability to produce and analyze packet captures.

The selected candidate must be a team player who communicates well and works in conjunction with other departments/areas to implement Systems and Environments and resolve issues.

Qualifications And Education Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in an Information Technology discipline (or equivalent technical certifications)

2+ Years administering Amazon Web Services infrastructure in a production environment

4+ Years IT infrastructure experience

2+ Years experience with Telephony platforms

Experience working in a DevOps environment for a auto-scaling software company is a huge plus
